Jonathan Levi shares his strategies for speed reading and remembering more with Mitch Matthews on this episode of the DREAM. THINK. DO. podcast Listen To The Podcast:        My guest for this week's DREAM. THINK. DO. podcast is Jonathan Levi. When I first heard about Jonathan, I was blown away. By his mid-twenties he'd started multiple companies. (Some went down in flames and some were freakishly successful.) He'd traveled the globe. (He lives in Tel Aviv now.) He'd created products and helped other companies to do the same. So yeah... I was impressed. But as I dug into his story I found out that one of the secrets behind his success was how he had trained himself to read faster and remember more. (Plus, I found out he was teaching other people how to do that too!) So I just had to interview him... because we can all dream bigger and think better... if we're able to remember more! Listen in as Jonathan gives you tangible strategies that focus on improving memory; reading faster and living bigger! “We’re trained to think in terms of specialization, but the world doesn’t work that way.” Tweet This Growing up in an entrepreneurial family, Jonathan knows what it takes to be successful in the business world.  But after selling his company he took an internship in Israel where he met a speed reader, and it’s been full speed ahead ever since!  Now, Jonathan gives you tangible strategies that focus on improving your memory; because what good is reading fast if you can’t remember what the heck you read in the first place?! A picture is worth a thousand words, which is why markers (images that represent memories) are so essential to reading comprehension.  You’ll also discover what kind of images work best and how to incorporate them into your reading, as well as the trick to minimizing eye motion.  Plus, find out the key to learning languages like a pro! Learning is a bridge skill that can be an enormous help in achieving nearly any goal, so the faster you learn then the faster you arrive at your dream.  This episode demonstrates your capacity to retain knowledge and, most importantly, gives you Jonathan’s credit card number.  So listen in and reap the benefits of learning how to learn!! “Most people in our generation are going to have multiple careers.  Therefore, learning becomes the single biggest game changing skill for success.” Tweet This  Resources JLE.vi

Well, it’s time to kick that kind of thinking to the curb, so you can get out there and try something new! To help you do that Mitch Matthews has brought you his friend Kevin Haugh.  From a professional standpoint, Kevin is leading a successful life.  He’s the Vice President for tax counsel at Union Bank.  Before that he was a manager at KPMG, and a senior at Arthur Anderson. But Kevin isn't joining this episode to talk about his career. Nope. He's on to talk about swimming.  That's right.  Swimming. “It’s all mental, you’ve just got to commit to it and just do it.” Tweet This More specifically, Mitch and Kevin are going to talk about "extreme swimming." Kevin loves extreme swimming; an activity that is exactly as it sounds.  It's swimming in the ocean… over incredibly long distances, often against the current, while being on the lookout for ships and sharks.  Although it might not seem "practical," the experience of this type of extreme swimming lights Kevin up!  And it changes the way he lives, loves, works and leads! Let Kevin inspire you with his stories of how pursuing his dream makes a difference in his life (16:42), and how it creates a positive impact on his entire family (20:16). Plus, you can hear his love for the sport as he discusses: How he first developed his dream (2:45) His achievements (5:45) The risks of bay swimming (8:48) And why he loves it (11:09) Your dreams are meant to be anything that makes you come alive; so don’t constrain your dream pursuits to just the things that are practical or profitable. Listen in and find out how going after your dreams (even when they don't always make sense) can have a positive and powerful impact on your life and those around you! “If you’re crazy, the best way to feel normal is to surround yourself with other crazies.” Tweet This

Mitch Matthews does a DREAM. THINK. DO. deep dive on the biggest risk you can take!  (But if you take the risk it will improve the way you live, love and lead!)     Listen To The Podcast: “There’s this huge temptation to look like we’ve got it 100% together.” Tweet This In today's DREAM. THINK. DO. episode, Mitch talks about one of the biggest but most important risks you can take. What is it? Well, when you take this risk, it helps you to build trust and connection. It's something that has a huge impact on your ability to achieve your dreams and goals. Taking this risk also enables you to live more of a rich and full life. In this episode, Mitch dives deep on the science of why being "authentic" feels like a risk.  (And he shares a few stories where he's struggled with it too).  But most importantly, he gives you some simple but proven strategies for being more authentic and real in your own life! “Be real, because being real works.” Tweet This It’s easy for us to take on a persona, especially when we’re in any type of leadership role.  We use a mask to try to be someone we’re not.  We do it to try to build trust, but it winds up having the opposite effect, doesn't it? Discover how using a persona negatively affects you and how you can recognize it in yourself or others (11:54).  Mitch also gives you the science behind something known as "The Imposter Phenomenon." (13:38)  According to research, if you've been successful in anything... there's a 70% chance you've felt the negative effects of the "I.P."  Mitch will show you how to beat it! Plus, he'll share three strategies for helping you to be more authentic as a leader, a globe changer and as a friend. (18:33). Adopting personas is an approach that nearly everyone is guilty of, but it often has the exact opposite effect of what we hope.  Listen in to learn how to take off the mask! One of the best ways to achieve your dreams and bring your awesome is by being authentically YOU. “Being human is a strength, not a weakness.” Tweet This
